Welcome to my documentation portfolio. In here, you’ll find a variety of work from team and independent projects. I have experience creating technical documentation, guides, marketing materials, videos, and more about technical subjects.

UWROV Technical Documentation

As a member and leader of the Underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (UWROV) Team at the University of Washington, I’ve contributed to the team’s documentation for the MATE ROV Competition. I’m most proud of our documentation from both 2025 and 2023, where we won first place internationally for our work. Here, I have our documentation from 2025, which is also published in the Journal of Ocean Technology.

While each word on this document is a collaborative work, I’d like to highlight the schedule section (3), design rationale overview (4), planning and design process (5), and component selection (6) sections as ones I primarily contributed to. However, I participated in reviewing and crafting all portions of this document with my team.

Thruster Guard Manufacturing and Installation Guide

I wrote a guide on how to manufacture and install UWROV’s open source thruster guards for Blue Robotics T-200 and T-100s. These guards are IP2X rated and meet MATE ROV’s standards for safety inspection. This guide is intended to be used by other MATE ROV teams and ROV enthusiasts of all ages and knowledge levels.

UWROV 2025-2026 T-Shirt Design

While an atypical form of technical documentation, my 2025-2026 T-Shirt design for UWROV aimed to not only look cool, but also provide information about our underwater robot. My contribution focused on creating the overall layout, transferring and cleaning up drawings from CAD, compiling pieces together, and writing the blurbs. The piece was mainly edited in Inkscape, a vector-based art program.

The front design was vaguely inspired by a title block for a technical drawing, giving the most essential about our team:

The back combines several different technical drawings, with different blurbs around them to provide context for viewers:

One Pager on Custom Feature

I created a one page guide to using my Add Blinds custom feature, written in featurescript on Onshape. This guide follows styles and conventions for custom features.

Volcanoes, Vents, and Snowblowers | Mini Documentary

Following my experience as a student participant on the 2023 Visions Expedition, I created a mini-documentary about the underwater phenomenon of “snowblowers”. The tone aims to capture the enrapturing nature of deep ocean environments while being educational.

The audio was compiled in Audacity and the video was edited using Adobe Premiere Pro.
